Ingredients
1 1/8 C. warm tap water
1 1/2 tsp. instant yeast
2 T. sugar
3 T. butter, melted
2 - 3 C. all purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
How To Make It
Pour the water in the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with a dough hook. Add the yeast and sugar and allow to proof for 5 minutes. Add the butter, 2 C. of the flour and the salt. Mix on low speed as the dough pulls together check to see if it is sticky, if so add a little more flour (mine took 2 1/2 C). Once the dough begins to pull away from the sides of the bowl, turn it out onto a lightly floured surface. Knead a couple of times, form it into a ball and place in a lightly greased bowl. Cover with a clean dish towel and allow to rise till double in size, about an hour.
Punch the dough down and turn back out onto the floured surface. Divide the dough into 12 portions and then roll each one into a log about 6-7" long. Place on a lightly greased baking pan. Allow them to rise for 30 minutes. Bake in a 400 degree oven for 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden. Remove and brush with the butter mixture below.
4 T. melted butter, 1/4 tsp. salt, 1/4 tsp. garlic powder, 1/4 tsp. italian seasoning and 1 T. grated parmesan cheese. Combine well
