Ingredients
3 russet potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
2 T. vegetable oil
1 T. my house seasoning (equal parts garlic powder, onion powder and pepper...combine and store in an airtight container)
1 tsp. seasoned salt
2 T. vegetable oil
1 T. my house seasoning (equal parts garlic powder, onion powder and pepper...combine and store in an airtight container)
1 tsp. seasoned salt
How To Make It
Place the sliced potatoes in a bowl and cover them with cold water. Let them soak for 30 minutes, drain and repeat for another 30 minutes. After you drain them the 2nd time, spread them out on a clean kitchen towel and thoroughly blot them dry. Return the potatoes to a dry bowl and add the oil and seasonings. Toss them well to coat. Line a large baking sheet with tinfoil that has been lightly sprayed with cooking spray. Spread the seasoned fries out on the pan in an even layer. Bake them in a 400 degree oven for 25 minutes, remove and toss the potatoes to turn them then return to the oven for 15 more minutes. Turn the oven temp. up to 425 degrees and cook and additional 7-8 minutes or until your desired crispness.
